I began to recognize the
power of a presentation when I interviewed applicants seeking
employment with an advertising agency. I was appalled at
how unconscious most were of the subliminal negatives they
were portraying through their presentations. Tacky portfolios
spoke of their lack of pride and excellence. Disorganized,
bulky, desk-rearranging presentations trampled their interviewer's
personal space. The underlying message of such presentations
came down to the question; "Is this how you will represent
our business to our clients?"
Presentations
have a unique power of their own. The power to create
or destroy. The power to inspire confidence or to instil
unscertainty. Your presentations will speak
for you or against you. Which is better?
